What “scientific tourism” means

It is not a tour with a biologist for decoration. It is joining work that was going to happen anyway, with or without you.

What “scientific tourism” means

The difference shows in the order of things. On a tour, the outing is built around the visitor. Here the visitor joins what was already happening: a monitoring run, a sampling session, a survey walk.

That has an honest consequence: we do not promise what you will see. Nature does not deliver on request, and promising a particular species would be selling something nobody controls.

In exchange, what you see is real, and whoever explains it does so because it is their work, not because they memorised it.
