Herpetologist · researcher · conservationist
A Panamanian biologist specializing in herpetology and tropical biodiversity, president of the Los Naturalistas Foundation and founder of the Ectotermia Herpetarium in Boquete. He has taken part in describing more than 35 species new to science. At Konsenda, the scientist who describes new species is your host.
He has taken part in describing and documenting them, across Central and South America.
Co-author of the description of Pristimantis gretathunbergae (ZooKeys, 2022), the frog named in honor of climate activist Greta Thunberg.
Monitoring of the critically endangered Limosa harlequin toad (Atelopus limosus) in San Blas, in partnership with the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI).
Leads the Los Naturalistas Foundation, uniting research, education and conservation of Panamanian biodiversity.
